Born and raised in Edmonton, Rebecca attended the University of Alberta where she graduated with a Bachelor of Arts with a focus in the romance languages, specifically French and Spanish. During her time at the University of Alberta, she also received a Translation Certificate for French. She continued at the University of Alberta for Law School and graduated in 2014.
While in law school, Rebecca worked as legal assistant for a family law lawyer in Edmonton, which is how she discovered her interest for that area of law. She articled with two firms: Hutchison Law where her focus was civil litigation, including administrative law, aboriginal law and employment law; and Tyson Law Office where her focus was on family law, residential real estate and the drafting of wills, powers of attorney and personal directives. She remained with Tyson Law Office until April, 2017 when she joined Lypkie Henderson. Her current practice consists of family law and employment law litigation.
In her free time, Rebecca enjoys drinking copious amounts of coffee, listening to music, attending concerts, spending time with friends and going for long walks with her dog.
